Keazen oplossing

The stop button in Firefox 4 is by default at the end of the location bar (where you type web addresses) and becomes a reload button once the website has loaded.

There are also possibilities of blocking images on particular sites or in general.

In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.

When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.

If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. Thanks to Tony and John. For their time.

in v4 I moved the reload button to the left of the location bar and tried using the separator bar. It was suggested in another post. This doesn't work.

I cannot separate the two and I do not have the option in Customize for Reload or Stop. Any other tips? Thank you.

Some of the buttons may only be used once, and will disappear from the customise options once used, but you may still drag them back or move them elsewhere.

As cor-el explained the buttons stop and reload will combine in use if they are used, reading left to right as Reload - Stop. Reverse the order to Stop - Reload and they will remain separate. There is no need to use the separater between the buttons.

Sometimes your customise options, or toolbar layout, as it is called in the firefox button refuses to work; you may then need to consider resetting it, first by using the default settings, then if that fails by resetting controls from firefox Safe Mode. Of course such actions will loose any customisations you have made, but that is probably acceptable if you are trying to modify the toolbars.
