I have an email account on Thunderbird (jetmayor@gmail.com). I can get to this account on one laptop but not on my other newer laptop. The screen asks me to sign in and shows my email address as above. Underneath the shown email address it says 'Forgot email?' Underneath this it says: Before using this app, you can review Mozilla Thunderbird Email’s privacy policy and terms of service. Create Account NEXT

Whatever I press it goes to another screen and says: 400. That’s an error. The server cannot process the request because it is malformed. It should not be retried. That’s all we know.

The email address did work OK for months and I just don't know how to get it back. I've tried to delete the account and then reinstall it but that hasn't worked. My other email addresses are still working fine. I can still access the faulty address directly on Google Mail so I know it still should work. It's possible I have changed the password in the google account. I have tried this password in Thunderbird but to no effect. Is there a way to reinstall the faulty address? Help! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regular emails go fine. When I add attachment it says it goes but doesn't even though in sent folder. I go into sent folder and send as a forward and it goes fine. Using webmail works fine but I prefer thunderbird. Have been using it for at least 10 years. At the present time I have to send w/attachment twice and then ask the recipients if they got it. Lot of extra work. Help!

3 Days ago Thunderbird, Firefox and Windows 11 all updated at the same time. Now, every time I close and reopen Thunderbird, it takes me back to the "Setup your existing email" page, and I have to create a new profile and start over. I then restore my email and settings, etc. via a backup, only to have the same thing happen the next time I open Thunderbird. Firefox is being similarly affected, but not quite to the same degree. I don't lose my bookmarks, but all my settings have to be restored. I'm using Bitdefender Total Security, and have turned everything off, and the same thing happens. I've been using all these programs for years, and Windows 11 for over a year with no problems. Please help.

Hello ; I planed 3 days ago to empty my spams and by mistake I deleted all the content (all the e-mails) of the file Deleted (the dust-bin, or Trash, I don't know the word in English) as I clicked "empty Deleted" ; is there a way to restore those e-mails of the Deleted file that I emptied by mystake ? Thank you !

The print screen has only one option to 'Save to PDF' and I want to replace that to 'Print' I've checked the settings and everything for email in there except 'Print'. How do I get to a setting screen where I can make this change. I am old and not computer savvy so please give me every step so I can finally print attachments. Thank You

I get this message when I attempt to send an email

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: resomta-a2p-646770.sys.comcast.net resomta-a2p-646770.sys.comcast.net Excessive failed authentication, ESMTP server temporarily not available.

Whenever I reply to a message, the reply as well as the original appears in my inbox. I thought it might be related to Threaded Replies, but that is set in Sort>View to "Unthreaded."

How do I stop this? I'd like to keep the original message I rec'd. And if I need to see my reply I can go to 'Sent' folder. I don't need each and every message in a back-and-forth filling my inbox.

I'm using a X13 ThinkPad with 1920x1080 resolution on a 13'3 display with Linux (Arch) and XFCE desktop. For the best results I've increased the XFCE's DPI to 134 and fonts sizes to 10. It looks like the fonts of the size ~13 without DPI change. It's fine, and applications like Firefox like those settings.

In Thunderbird I've set the font size (interface) to 12 and in Settings the default font sizes for Latin and Other Writing Systems to 12 (both) and finally the interface font as well as plain text email and HTML e-mails without font sizes specified explicitly look natively and perfectly.

But there are some senders using clients that generate HTML e-mails and specify the font explicitly as 'font-size=12pt' in their body by default. The same as my 12 so everything should be fine. Unfortunately font in those e-mails is really HUUUUGE! I'm wondering if there is some setting that allows custom scaling but only the HTML messages. Or some pt to px custom scaling for HTML? Or some maximal size allowed in HTML?

When trying to send an email I get this error message: We're sorry, but we can't send your email. Please check the message and try again. The email in question is of course perfectly innocent. I first got this a few days ago and had to resort to using online email, which is clunky as I cannot organise it like Thunderbird! I tried closing everything down and starting again but with no result. However the following day everything was back to normal. Now it has happened again. There must be a reason1 Any help or advice please would be much appreciated. Carol

Yesterday I updated to 128.4.3esr For one of my accounts TB has started requesting me a password, but it dosn't give me the possibility to save it. I've tried to edit the signon.rememberSignons parameter, but it was already set that was set to true. I've tiried to delete the file key3.db but it did'nt work I've deleted the account from the ones listed in the saved passwords, but it has'nt changed the box of password request, that i attach. Starting yesterday I've stopped receiving emails on Thunderbird. I haven't changed any settings. I've tried restarting, restarting the router etc. without success. I'm very inexperienced with computers so would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I will describe the problem step by step. There is a mail server. It has a web version of mail (SOGo). Created an account for the meeting room. Created a shared calendar and signed mail users with rights to create entries in this calendar. In mail clients connected calendars over the network with user credentials. When creating an event in the calendar, added participants. Participants receive an email with an invitation. Immediately, when the email arrives to the participant, there are buttons to accept, but as soon as the event is synchronised and added to the calendar, the buttons disappear. Why? An error occurs when clicking on the refresh button. Why? How to set up a shared calendar correctly? Is there any instruction?

My computer recently fried due to Lightning and trying to get into my Thunderbird account but cannot remember my password. Need to resurrect Thunderbird on new computer. Please help. Cheers George

I opened Thunderbird and all my emails and email accounts are gone. It wants me to set up all over again. There is nothing there but a screen that says set up your email account with user name and password.

I download 64 bit exe on win 10. I run it, it unpacks, asks for what user I want to run TB as, I pick one, program closes, I never see it again. Done it multiple times, nothing. App just silently refuses to install

I'm moving from iMac 12.7 to Mac-mini 15.1 and Thunderbird's old files cannot be imported. So, I deleted the failed Thunderbird app in the new Mac-mini and download a new Thunderbird to the Mac-mini. I made sure it's the desktop version with US English for Mac before hitting the download key. After downloading the Thunderbird 128.4.3esr.dmg and double-clicking the file and moving Thunderbird into the "Applications" directory. This last step seems to go on forever, that is, when I tried to eject the Thunderbird's download, it claim the download is NOT finished. What did I do wrong, and how to fix this problem?
