Dear Sir/Madam, I have Nexus 5 with 5.0.1 installed, ASOP from Google, not any ROM, no root! Battery can't hold even for eight hours. I Installed DU battery SAVER app from CHetah Mobile . IT IS A FIREFOX BROWSER THAT IS ON TOP OF BATTERY DRAINING APPLICATIONS! PLEASE RESPOND, I Wish very much to continue using Firefox for android but if this is a real issue I will have to uninstall it!

The web is complex. Because of its dynamic nature there are many pages that can cause the browser to consume a significant amount of battery. Then there are things like GIFs, video playback, webgl and canvas that are part of the web but require constant screen updates.

I don't know that you will find a browser that consumes significantly less battery.
