This pop-up started showing up about a month ago and anti-virus/anti-malware scans come up clean. Pop us has to manually be closed or I cannot proceed. It shows up on EVERY WEB PAGE. I have RoboForm so I don't need to enter information on that pop up where a password is required. It shows up where there is not even a sign in required. Is this a Mozilla pup or what?

This could be a proxy service ( web search ) or it could be an attempt to get your password.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select Network.

[56+] Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar. Look for Network. +++++++++++++++++++++ Look for Configure How Firefox Connects and press the Settings button. If you are using a proxy, make sure those settings are correct. If there is no proxy, first try No Proxy. If there is a problem, then try System Proxy.

Thank you, Fred, for your suggestions. However, nothing worked to eliminate this new pop-up. I have RoboForm on my system and since it seems to want login information, I sent an email to RoboForm to ask them if it may be something they know about. Will await a response from them. I just don't know what else to do at this point. Again, I thank you for your kindness in trying to help me resolve this annoying issue.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

I did more ad/malware scans in addition to already running Malwarebytes on my system full time. Nothing shows up as being on my system that would cause me to suspect anything. All scans show clean. Now what?

I jumped through every hoop posted for me here and the damn pop-up window came right up even after all pups were removed...even the harmless ones I already knew would be there. I am still wondering if it's some sort of add-on by RoboForm? I have used the program for years and never had this issue, but it might be something new. I have sent them an email to ask about it, but so far no reply. I thank everyone for their contributions here and I have tried them all, but to no avail. I will keep clicking the X to close the pop up without entering any information, but it's sure annoying since in comes up on every new page I open.
