Spectrum (Charter) email suddenly won't SEND
Suddenly, I cannot sent Spectrum email from Thunderbird. Spectrum checked things on their end and said all is fine. I turned off Deep Guard in my Anti-virus software (briefly) and that didn't help. I get this message when trying to send email: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: impout002.msg.chrl.nc.charter.net cmsmtp 47.134.62.67 blocked. Please see https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1130.
I can receive mail fine. I tried to look at my outgoing 'settings' in tools but only see the setting for incoming with the port @ 993. I CAN send Yahoo mail from Thunderbird fine (though I cannot SEE any outgoing port info in that mail either). Hoping someone can help.
TIA...

You posted a Spectrum support link with error code explanation. Did you look at it?
Yes, Christ1....
The explanation was this: The IP address you're trying to connect from has an issue with the Domain Name System. Spectrum requires a full circle DNS for emails to be allowed through. Verify the IP you're connecting from, and check the IP address to ensure a reverse DNS entry exists for the IP. If the IP address is a Spectrum-provided email address, contact us.
I have NO IDEA what that all means. Hopefully, you can help me figure it out.
THANKS!

I fixed it! I ended up back on the Spectrum site and read about changing my outgoing port from 587 to 465. I saved that info and am now sending mail again. Not sure why that changed, but am grateful that I could fix it.
