There is a website that I block every day from my email. And every day it shows up again with the same email address. I use the message filter "from, contains" . Yet every day the same web site appears.

The site is " newsletter@zerohedge.com". How is the site bypassing my message filter? Other sites I block do not do this.

What are your exact settings for this particular filter?

You may want to post a screenshot. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem

This is a screenshot of the filter in use. Robert Hunter

That looks reasonable, however, I don't see a match criteria for "newsletter@zerohedge.com" in your screenshot.

Your filter settings look good to me. I'm not sure why there are two empty filter rules in your screenshot though.

Is the sender email address you're trying to block always the same? If it's some sort of newsletter, you may be able to unsubscribe from it.

If it's a spam mail then it's likely the sender email address is changing constantly. Therefore attempting to fight spam with static filters it futile. Use junk mail controls instead. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/thunderbird-and-junk-spam-messages
