Is there a way I can tag links that I have visited within the last 7 days?

I read the http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Bookmark%20Tags?s=tagging&as=s which explains how to tagging in the library window, but I want to modify the links in the "history - last seven days" portion, not the "bookmarked" portion.

When I do try to modify the tags for a visited link, it saves it, and then brings me back to the "history - today" section, and I have to start over (go to the "last seven days" and sort by url)

You can only tag bookmarks, so you need to select the history links and use Copy and Paste to copy them to a bookmarks folder. Then you should be able to tag them.
