Firefox version 132.0.1 Thunderbird version 128.4.0esr O/S: PCLinuxOS Debian Edition (Debian 12 Bookworm) with KDE 5

I am getting a "Click" sound effect when I click Menu Bar items in both Firefox and Thunderbird, Bookmarks in Firefox, Folders in Thunderbird and some other items in both. I can not find a way to turn it off. It does not happen in any other applications, including other web browsers that are forked from Firefox, so I think it is a Mozilla problem.

This is a relatively new installation that was set up copying settings from Firefox on Windows 10 using Firefox Sync. I did not copy anything from Windows Thunderbird because my email is IMAP which brings in everything from the server. I am not getting this clicking sound in Windows Firefox and Thunderbird.

I am GUESSING that the sound effect is due to an Accessibility setting that is buried somewhere, maybe in one of the text-based "about...." configuration files, but I don't know where to look. I have gone through the Linux KDE System Settings and the Settings in Firefox and Thunderbird several times trying to find it. I will note that I set up Firefox and Thunderbird in the same Linux distro on a laptop also using Firefox Sync and do not have this problem with the laptop. Can anyone tell me where to look to get rid of this irritating noise?

As is known, Google likes to offer to sign in users on 3rd party sites. I have no interest in using Google to sign in to websites. How does it even know I'm there? It's following me around the web. I've tried in vain to find a way to turn this feature off. Does anybody know how to do it?

When you go to the YouTube community tab, click on a link like https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxFmoD_WE2uSNmIHw1Njhj36JVQMnzrWzz this example I get a banner that this page slows down firefox and after a few minutes the tab crashes. I tried disabling extensions, but it didn't help me. I came across this on two different PCs on Windows.

I keep experiencing this problem with different websites: Safari works, Firefox doesn't.

I entered valid license numbers (230880, 239798). Firefox displays NOTHING, no error message. Safari displays the relevant info.

Why is this and what should I do if I want to continue using Firefox? Thanks.

I started using Thunderbird several months ago. I use Windows10 and Edge; using the settings advised by optus. Optusnet is my email server. With some difficulty I downloaded my address book via a CSV file. Emails to or from Yahoo addresses do not arrive. A sent message records as having been sent and is in the sent box but is not received by the addressee. Arriving emails do not arrive from Yahoo. All other email addresses appear to be delivered ok. I have double checked all of communication settings. Please advise.

Since the 132.02 certain eBay items will not display its shipping info. Only on Firefox. Its not addon because I disabled all and I have the same addons installed on edge and all good there, I can see the shipping info on edge. And its only about 50% of the items which is weird. I have done the basic troubleshooting and I have to think it was this update. If you see the images attached Shipping values should be displayed. Some have a $ value some say +shipping, those are not displaying the value. Please help me figure this out as I use Firefox ALL day but if this continues I HAVE to switch. Ebay is my main source of income now.

Since the last update, I can SEND email fine(including attachments), but when I OPEN any email, all the items on the screen show up like editable objects, none of the links work, you can't download or otherwise access any attachment, and I am getting a cryptic message in yellow at the bottom of the window.

I tried downgrading to the last version that worked, but then TB would not allow me to import the profile, as the latest version has obviously done something in the profile, to make it incompatible if you downgrade - I just get a message that you can't import the profile, it was created in a newer version of TB......sod off. ;-)

I have attached images of what I am seeing. I have pixelized my email address etc, for privacy.

Can anyone help?

Recently found a problem of high GPU usage when watching videos. I have encounter this on other websites but YouTube is the most prevalent. Currently running is a NVIDIA 4060ti and the percentages I am getting range from a low of 15 to the high of 28. Hoping to gather some information on the topic and would love some explanation. I have already tried with no extensions enabled but had no luck in stopping the issue. Version 132.0.2 (64-bit) on a Windows 10 desktop.

New user here. I am trying to clean out my inbox (over 10000 emails). I select multiple emails trying to delete them. However, no matter if I hit the delete key, the trashcan, or right-click and select "delete selected messages"; only 1 email is deleted.

What am I doing wrong?

The latest Thunderbird releases have been crashing regularly, with these submitted reports. I'm trying to ascertain what I need to do to mitigate or eliminate the crashes.

etc, ad nauseum going back to 03 October.

In the last 2 weeks my wife Thunderbird refuses to send emails. The attached image is the error message. I got Telstra to reset her P/W, but Thunderbird still asks for a P/W. Using her details on Telstra webmail, messages are sent with no problem. I had same problem back in September, but I can't remember how it was solved. Your help would be much appreciated. I copied Thunderbird folder in on my old computer to thumb drive. I Installed Thunderbird on new computer. I replaced the Thunderbird folder on the new computer with the data from the old computer. The folder on old computer had over 9,300 files. I ran the Thunderbird on the new computer. The old mail data was not shown. I was asked to create and new mail account the new computer. Mail from old computer did NOT appear. What is needed to get all of my mail, addresses and calendar data to the new computer.
