On Google Chrome, the middle mouse button only functions as a close command when clicking on the tab bar. In Firefox, clicking on a blank area on the tab bar creates a new tab. This makes it really difficult to transition properly from Chrome to Firefox.

That would be related to the Mouse driver itself that assigns the button functions.

Is there any way to disable it for Firefox?

Sort off that I know/found but scroll wheel/middle button still opens a new blank tab. With the new code for Quantum I have yet to find turning it off for 57+

Reply back so this gets into the list. We are trying.

I posted to this forum as a last resort as it's difficult to search for this specific issue. The solutions from my searches as you mentioned doesn't do anything, or was the wrong solution to the issue.

Hopefully an option gets implemented as I know there are a few others like me that finds this feature difficult to get use to.
