I'd like to change the location of my bookmarks. In the past, I was successful by typing in "about:config" then entering a new preference name "browser.bookmarks.file" with a value of my new bookmark file location. With the 3.6.13 version, this isn't working. How can I do this?

You can not change the location of the bookmarks file, the places.sqlite bookmarks file must be in the profile folder.

You can use the pref browser.bookmarks.file to set the location and name of an automatic HTML bookmarks backup.

Outstanding! That will give me the same thing as relocating the bookmarks file would.

Thanks for the info.

Not exactly the same, the Tags data (if you are using that bookmarks feature) isn't saved to a bookmarks.html backup file.
