This problem began before the version 29 update. Firefox stutters while watching videos on youtube and those on other websites. It also stutters when scrolling down pages, or even filling in forms (and this questionnaire). I've tried disabling video acceleration, but that did not help. I dont have this problem in IE 11. I also downloaded and installed Chrome and have no issues at all. I havent added any new extentions or add-ons. I also uninstalled then reinstalled Adobe to see if that was the issue. It wasnt. Thank you Ben

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you need to close and restart Firefox).

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
