Using google as browser in Firefox and cant see bookmarks in side bar. Ive tried all the suggestions but no joy. Also on my PC, GOOGLE shows above address bar, but on my new laptop it shows FIREFOX. Driving me crazy. Have used Firefox foe years ans no problems till now.

Usually if you press Ctrl+B Firefox will open the sidebar and show Bookmarks. If the page intercepts Ctrl+B for some other purpose, like making text bold, then you would have to use a different method, such as the optional Sidebars button or Alt+V to open the classic View menu.

-- do you mean on the built-in home page? You can change the built-in home page to the Google home page if that is what you are used to. This article has the steps: How to set the home page.
