Firefox 131.0.3 (64 bit) Ubuntu Linux CPU % drop dramatically when opening Firefox Task Manger.

While listening to an audio steaming service in tab1 that utilises ~ 58% CPU, opened up Firefox Task Manager in tab2. CPU load drops dramatically to ~ 8% without doing anything to existing processes and all the while audio is still steaming while in tab2. When switching back to tab1 CPU load increases again to ~ 58%. CPU load measured with Linux HTOP app.

Questions: 1. What is the reason for this? Can it have something to do with display card that is maybe used intensively in tab1 and not in tab2? 2. If the above in 1) is true then surely Firefox Task Manager does not measure active CPU loads correctly? 3. Is there any learnings from this to improve overall Firefox performance as standard?

Legacy Hardware: Intel dual core 2.8 Ghz CPU with 4GB Ram. OS: Ubuntu 20.04.06 LTS 64 bit Display card: Nvidia 9500GT Connectivity: WIFI
