To make a new folder in Bookmarks, what does "Click on folder inside which you want to make a new folder." mean?
I am trying to make a new folder for my bookmarks. When I look up in the help section the second direction says to "Click on the folder inside which you want to make a new folder" I don't know what that means ( and I'm not the only one!) I want to make a new folder under bookmarks.

You can create a new folder in an already existing folder. You can click a folder in the left pane in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to select that folder and create a new folder in the right pane via the right-click context menu or the Organize button on the toolbar.
- Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
You can create new folders and new bookmarks in the three main folders ("Bookmarks Toolbar","Bookmarks Menu","Unsorted Bookmarks") or their sub folders, but you can not create a new folder at the root level ("All Bookmarks").
In the Bookmarks Manager you can also create a new folder via the Organize menu.
In the Bookmarks sidebar (Ctrl+B; Cmd+B on Mac) you can do that via the right-click context menu.
If you want the new bookmark or folder to appear on the Bookmarks Toolbar then create that new bookmark or folder in the "Bookmarks Toolbar" folder.
Otherwise create the new bookmark or folder in the "Bookmarks Menu" folder or in a sub folder in that folder.
If you click the star on the location bar then a new bookmark is created by default in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder.
If you use "Bookmark This Page" (Ctrl+D) then the bookmark is created in the "Bookmarks Menu" folder.
You should check how easy it is to make a new folder on Safari. All you have to do is open bookmarks and click on open new folder. That's what I'll be doing from now on. Thanks anyway, Tina
