My wife and I have my android smartphones (mine Samsung galaxy rugby my wife's Samsung galaxy S2 model) that are synchronized to our email accounts so that we can receive and send emails from our phones and all is copied and viewable. When we send emails from Thunderbird all is fine. When we send emails from our smartphones the emails are copied in the Thunderbird sent file many times. In my case the email gets copied sometimes 1000's of times (one case 2245 times). Basically the email is repeated/shows up one after the other which makes deleting sort of easy. But even though I delete them and delete them from trash the repeated emails all reappear the next day. In my wife's case the email seems to be copied in blocks so emails for example from April 1st to 3rd are copied sequentially in the order they were sent one after the other but then repeated many times in the "blocks" which makes deleting them much more difficult. In her case the emails have been copied so many times it has filled the server such that she can't receive any more emails. We have spoke with the internet provider and they say it a phone issue. We have spoke with phone vendor and they say it is with Thunderbird. I used to use Outlook foe email but when I had a problem with Outlook the internet provider suggested using Thunderbird which I have used for many years. But now the internet provider no longer supports any other email software except their own web mail which is "slower" than Thunderbird. If I can't get this resolved soon I will have to go to other email software Can you provide some advice?

Lets think about this for a bit. You have no problem when sending from Thunderbird. You have the problem when sending from 2 different Android smart phones that Thunderbird does not run on. You are connecting to your IMAP email account that is run by your email provider and viewing the folders on your provider's mail server. You are threatening to stop using Thunderbird? The one part of this equation that works. It is free software so I am sure Thunderbird will not miss the lack of revenue. I am just trying to understand your logic or lack there of.
