Jeg har i adskillige år brugt Mozilla Thunderbird. Har ikke haft problemer før nu. Nu kan jeg pludselig slet ikke åbne den på min pc.( Windows). Fungerer fint på min mobi… (baca lebih lanjut)

Jeg har i adskillige år brugt Mozilla Thunderbird. Har ikke haft problemer før nu. Nu kan jeg pludselig slet ikke åbne den på min pc.( Windows). Fungerer fint på min mobil. (android). Får beskeden: Programmet kunne ikke starte, fordi side om side konfigurationen er forkert. Flere oplysninger i programmets hændelseslogfil eller ved at bruge kommandolinjeværktøjet sxstrace.exe.

Kan ikke se hændelseslogfil når jeg ikke kan åbne den. Kommandopromt siger: sxestrace.exe. ukendt

Thunderbird adding double quotes around local part of email address

I have an email contact who uses alias emails to include team members as CC. Such an alias can have the form

  !wawProdAIProjects@domainsample.com

However, the "!" in the local part seems to cause Thunderbird to modify the email address by adding double quotes around the local part:

  "!wawProdAIProjects"@domainsample.com

While both versions seem to be legitimate, my contact's incoming mail server considers the "modified" version with the double quotes as "undeliverable".

So now I am wondering if and how I can stop Thunderbird from adding those double quotes? Any ideas?

Even though [replied in another similar thread] that I have the same issue, I'm making another one 'cause it seems pretty dead.

Since ver 128 Nebula, some mails (sorted in a labeled folder) appear totally white / blank and I don't know why. They appear perfectly fine when viewed from my provider's webmail service (Gandi SOGo), but not in Thunderbird. But here's the thing: they appear fine from the sent folder after I replied to them (via the webmail).

I've already tried restarting in safe mode with all modules disabled, to no success.

Please test yourself in Firefox. If the error is still there, please kindly forward it to the thunderbird.net webmaster. If the error is no longer there, it was fixed, and you can close this ticket.

I hope you are well. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a problem but here is my problem. My settings are configured such that my sent emails are moved to the folder from where I'm replaying. Now and then the email I just send does not show the content of the email and also does not show anything in the subject or from who it is. The content of the email is random letters and symbols, maybe it shows only the encrypted email for some reason. This problem can not be a device problem because my college ran into the same problem. If I go on my phone (Gmail app) the email in question appears as normal there but not on my Thunderbird app on my laptop. The same problem also appeared from an email received from someone but only happened once or twice.

Please can you assist in solving this problem?

I am unable to attach/send files through other programs or windows - instead of Thunderbird the program will try to use Outlook.

Thunderbird is set as the default map in MAILTO in Windows settings.

This worked fine until recently - I think a windows or Office 365 update may have overriden something, but I cannot find any settings to change to attach and send through Thunderbird.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated

I tried changing the authentication method to OAUTH2 for my Outlook live mail account (POP). For that, I had to change the server name to office365.com. After restarting Thunderbird, I was able to download new messages but all the old messages already stored in Thunderbird disappeared, even though Thunderbird still shows the same old Local Directory as being used.

How do I change the authentication to OAUTH2 & get my old messages back?

If I delete & again create the Outlook live account, would it effect my old mails/filters ?

For about a month now Thunderbird has been taking sent emails and doing one of several things. 1. Replacing the text with lines and lines of numbers and letters, 2. Removing the "From" and "Subject" lines and the message, leaving the message blank, BUT adding an attachment that has nothing to do with the recipient; 3. Sending some sent messages to trash after I have tagged them. I use emails like a paper trail, to check, to see if there are any emails I am still waiting to hear an answer back on, etc. Thunderbird has been my favorite email client since I was first told about it. I rely on Windows/Inbox heavily to switch to inbox. New version (115) has these tile stuff at top of Window menu bar - and I saw Inbox down below sometimes but in compose window Inbox link is missing in Window menu item. This is a HUGE problem for quick maneuverability.

On my Laptop, I have four email boxes mileoak@rogers.com, i-75dave@rogers.com, dave_hunter@rogers.com & book-orders@rogers.com. Whenever I try to get messages, I get a Thunderbird comment, "Connection to server pop.mail.yahoo.com was reset."

My connection in and out of my accounts worked perfectly on September 10th. When I signed in to Thunderbird on the morning of the 11th, I received the above message.

Here are the settings for dave_hunter@rogers.com (the least important of my accounts).

Incoming server: pop.mail.yahoo.com Username: Dave_Hunter@rogers.com Port: 995 Security: SSL/TLS Authentication: OAuth2

SMTP server: smtp.broadband.rogers.com Port: 465 Security: no authentication User Name: Dave_Hunter

Nothing changed at my end between September 10 and 11th. Have also used these settings for year with no problems.

I recently received a suggestion from sfhowes and tried the changes suggested with no success.

I'm in the middle of a heavy email sales campaign and have tried to switch to the Yahoo email menus which I find very cumbersome compared to Thunderbird. All the files I need are on my suspended Thunderbird system.

Can somebody please get me back on track so I can start using Thunderbird again?

Thankful blessings to whoever can solve this connection problem. I would even pay for professional help if it was available.
