Thunderbird is hanging when I have multiple attachments. It won't send and won't save to send folder.

Here's the sequence of events: Start to fill out an email to someone. Then, add attachements. So...2 attachments totaling 2.1 mbs (Should not be too big?...was able to send before) Then, hit Send. Then, boxes connects, delivering, then gets send successfully Then, copying message to Sent folder...gets hung up. Then, lists at 100% but boes to Sending login information... Then, gets to 100% gets...hung up...lots of time on this box. Then, There was an error saving the message to Sent. Retry? Unless I hit cancel it repeats this error. (Ironically the mail goes thru most of the time but is not saved in Sent folder)

Please advise on how to fix this issue, Thanks.
