I booked some airline tickets and made the payment on my credit card. Normally takes about 45 seconds then advises an eMail Confirmation has been sent. Nothing happened other than in the top LH corner a note came up Firefox refuses to reload page. After 8 minutes, I rang the airline company and they had booked the tickets but due to Firefox I had not been informed. I then chose Safari on my Mac to book the Hotel tickets without a problem.

Never had this problem on the previous version of Firefox. John Williams, Kalbar, Queensland Australia

Whenever I book flights, I always use Internet Explorer, much as I hate doing so. Airlines tend to optimize their sites to work with the operating system's default browser which in your particular case is Safari.

It's better to be safe than sorry when booking flights where you're using a credit card for transmitting payment because financial institutions like airlines, will always update their sites to work with the 'default browser' so to speak, but may not devote resources to other browsers, especially when Mozilla is releasing a new version every couple of months now.

That's just my personal opinion of course, but I've had too many things go pear-shaped using Firefox to book flights in the past that I won't take the risk anymore.

Thanks Xircal, much appreciated.

I have come to the same conclusion as my Bank told me similar with regard to the problem of not being able to log off.

Have a good day and thanks again.

Best wishes.
