TB with two email accounts, both of them web.de, same servers smtp and pop3., sa since about one month when sending email from one account it takes about one minute until it is sent. small window "Email succesfully sent" stays during this time running and blocks TB. sending emails from the other account

did not finish. sending email from the other account takes only a few seconds. does someone else have this problem?

Thsat sounds like a security program or anti virus issue. Are they the same on both machines (build numbers definitions etc.

cheers for the propmt answer. no antivirus problem which is mcafee. problem was in the account configuration the option"save and copy in the -account- name" instead of the "local folder", has to do do I believe with saving the emails in the IMAP server or locally.

Really.. lots of people using McAfee have all sorts of issues with sent folder not saving at all, script timeouts and issues with an nstemp file that does not exist.

Most users need to

  • Scan only programs and documents.
  • Disable email attachment scanning
  • Exclude the Thunderbird profile folder from scanning.
