I have Google Voice, but clicking phone numbers on web pages prompts me to select an application.

Previous help articles refer to the Applications section in Settings, but there is no option to select an application to open "tel:" links in Firefox.

I see "mailto:" and "ms-outlook" but no "tel:".

On current version of firefox windows

I am running Lubuntu 22.04LTS (have been for months now), with Firefox 130.0.1 installed via the normal vanilla apt.

It was working fine until a few days ago (perhaps after an update, but I can't recall specifically), and then just stopped being able to save anything.

For example, right clicking on an image will bring up "Save As..." as an option, but when I choose that, nothing happens. No prompt to save, nor does the file appear anywhere.

When I choose "Save" as a pulldown on cloud XLSX files...similarly, nothing happens.

When I download something, Firefox is supposed to open up a prompt asking me where I want to save the file but that never opens...nor does the file download.

I am totally baffled.

I've found plenty of past forum posts about this issue but nothing recent and maybe it is a bug but I'm doubting it. I want Firefox to auto number downloads of the same name, instead of asking to replace the file that already exists. Example: XYZ.jpg is in the downloads folder downloading another will default to XYZ(1).jpg, just like every chromium based browser does natively.

The setting "Always ask you where to save files" IS DISABLED, and I'm still experiencing every download of the same name needing to manually enter a number or change the file name somehow because it just asks to replace or not. I have Revo nuked Firefox from the system to reinstall, created new profiles since for some reason factory reset isn't a feature anymore. I have tried Firefox on multiple systems all with the same issue. I even tried enabling always ask where to save files in case something got switched.

If I'm missing something stupid, "great?" I want this convenience resolved but at the same time it shouldn't be this difficult to fix, it should just naturally be right there as an easy fix. I really want to see Firefox succeed have more competition for chrome based browsers, but its always something stupid like this that inevitably pushes me back to chrome.

I can't get my microphone working when I take a call on Doxy and other programs. I go to the settings and permissions boxes for the microphone, but I can't make anything happen. Is there someone I can call to help me get the microphone working? The articles I read don't help either.

I do not manage to set Firefox as default web browser. Operating System: Kubuntu 24.04 (Noble Numbat) In the KDE preferences Firefox appears to be the default Browser but the Firefox Setting / Preferences page - General / reports "Firefox in not your default browser" and when I click on the "Make default" button that takes no effect.

For many years I use FireFox as my preferred browser

Recently I find that Yahoo is somehow taking over.

When I click on Firefox beneath the search window are icons for Amazonm Vodafone, Hotels.com, support.mozila, YouTYube and Google - BUT NO YAHOO !!!! I do not rteally want any of those either but at least they do not impose themselves on my browser

I have two issues: 1. Every time I open the browser I have to turn off and on the extensions to make them work properly again. 2. I was using the extension that can change the layout of a website, Stylus, and for some reason, it erases the changes made every time I open the browser again. I'm not entirely sure if it's an issue with Firefox or Stylus, but given the previously mentioned problem, I wouldn't be surprised if they were connected somehow.

First, I would like to point out that there is a previous thread that asks the same question and unless you are a tech genius it DOES NOT provide a reasonable solution for the majority of people that are not tech savy. They literally warn you to be careful as these changes could mess up your system and providing this complex solution, IS RIDICULOUS!!

Second, why this setting is the default and a simple solution hasn't been provided is ridiculous and another example of how customer service no longer exists!

So for the majority of users that likely don't understand the solution provided or don't want to risk creating more issues. CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE AN ANSWER THAT EVERYONE CAN UNDERSTAND? If you don't, I can assure you that not only will I never use any of your products again, I will make it my life's mission to make sure others quit using your products as well because again, this whole issue and past solution is beyond ridiculous!!!

I'm running Firefox 130.0.1 (64-bit) and noticed when I read a foreign-language wikipedia article, I do not get the translation icon in the right end of the menu bar. All I see is the "Toggle reader view" icon and the "Bookmark this page icon." I can't figure out where it went. I saw another thread that asked people to check their General settings and "choose your preferred language for displaying pages" option, but it's already set to English (US).

ISSUE I've subscribed to youtube.com desktop notifications in Firefox. As usual I get notifications whenever I open Firefox. The issue is notification URL only activates if I click it instantly. After some delay the notification doesn't open the relevant youtube page(even if I keep youtube tab opened). This is a confirmed Firefox bug since it doesn't happen with Chrome. Here I'd like to:

1. Fix the issue I mentioned. 2. Open the relevant youtube page even when an youtube tab is not opened.

Also unlike android, in desktop, Firefox process needs to be running to get notifications. Is there any way to get notifications even when Firefox is closed like android?
