I primarily used Firefox on my desktop computer, but recently installed it on my android device as well. However, I did not wish to have my entire Password Manager database accessible from the Firefox Mobile app because my phone is less secure than my desktop, so I removed the passwords stored on the mobile app and also un-checked "Passwords" from the Sync option in the mobile app only. I assumed that it would just stop syncing passwords to the mobile app, but would continue to sync my desktop passwords.
My issue is that I had to perform a factory reset on my desktop computer and when I re-installed and logged back into to Firefox desktop, everything but my Passwords synced. I wasn't aware that un-checking the Password Sync option from the Firefox Mobile app would stop Password Sync on the desktop as well. My intention was only to not have my passwords synced to the Firefox Mobile app.
Is there any way to recover them from another location? I cannot find any JSON or CSV files in my local Program Files backup. Firefox Support says that "synced data will only be deleted from Mozilla's servers if you uncheck ALL data types in Sync's settings." I had all the other data types checked to sync, but un-checked the Password Sync as of a few weeks ago when I installed the Firefox Mobile app. If you un-check the Password sync option from the mobile app, does that mean all your Passwords are deleted from the database or that only new passwords entered from that point forward won't sync? If my Passwords are still on Mozilla's servers, how can I retrieve them? Thanks.
