I am struggling to increase the very small text size viewed in both send/receive emails ... I am guessing the view size is no more that point 6. All other screen text is good and my composition texts are set at 14. Reading various posts has not resolved my problem eg https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1442091

I know that I can adjust view per email but there must be a global setting. Any help appreciated.

How to change hover color in New Email Windows for email address link for screenshots: Screenshot

Thunderbird version 128.3.1 In the new message window when I move my cursor over the email address list my Windows titlebar orange color shows up as half transparent. When I click on an address it uses my light blue color I use in the main window for hover and selected. #52aaff

Question: How to change the hover color in the new email window to match what I have in the main window?

In the main window the hover and selected color solution is this in my: userChrome.css file.:

My email was working earlier today. Now - WHENEVER I click on "get mail" is does NOTHING. No messages at the bottom saying "retrieving" etc. I completely ignores the request.

 1) I turned of Norton - no change.
 2) I restarted computer - no change.
 3) I tried a different email client (browser based) - works fine.
 4) I am not running a VPN (verified by ISP call).
 5) ISP says "it's on your end (your client is the problem)".
 6) I reinstalled latest version - no change.
 What's next?  Thanks for any help you can provide/suggest.  If replying by email please send to

jimbetz@jimbetz.com and not this gmail account (never use it).

I am using Thunderbird on Windows 11 and I have foolishly allowed it to update itself to release 128.1.0.esr without checking the bug reports first. Now it turns out that this release removed the possibility to search the calendar for past events, which is absolutely essential for me. There is a Bugzilla entry for this but it is bogged down in discussions about who needs which date ranges to search in and how many instances to show for recurring events, so I don't expect a solution any time soon. How can I revert Thunderbird to the last release which still has that functionality? I have regular backups of my userprofile folder in case it helps.

I am using the latest version of Thunderbird 128.3.3esr 64-bit on my Windows 11 Laptop.

I have just discovered to my dismay that I am no longer sending Return Receipts to my received emails. I know that in the past that I always did! My Global Settings for Return Receipts have not changed. Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

I was trying to create a unified folder for all my 10 different email addresses to display the messages received today. I couldn't figure out how to create one, so I set the criteria in the Templates Unified Folder and then I renamed that folder to "Today's Inbox". As soon as I hit ok, it disappeared, never to be seen again. So now, I don't have my Templates Unified folder, which I never used, nor do I have the Today's Inbox Unified Folder. So how do I create a Unified folder?

Installed latest version of TB and want to migrate account settings and messages from Postbox to Thunderbird. I used the TB import tool and selected the active Postbox profile to import. All three accounts were imported. All the emails in one account were imported. In the case of the other two accounts, one of which is active and one is inactive, TB only imported the message headers only, not the contents.

I then found a migration app from a software company that was supposedly designed specifically to migrate Postbox accounts and messages to TB. When I ran the app, I got the exact same results as when I did it manually.

Any ideas on why the message content is missing on all emails in the two other accounts? The account settings are unchanged from Postbox.

Hello, The installer seems broken on the latest version of Windows 11 (Version: 24H2) where it says that the installer is corrupt. I must say that this is not the only installer not working on this latest version of Windows, (all compressed installer seems to not work properly).

The steps to reproduce are very simple, just clean install a PC on this latest version and try the installer. (Tested on two different computers)

Meanwhile I found a bypass where you can extract the installer manually with WinRar and use it from here.

I would like to know if someone at Mozilla is working on a fix for this issue or if a patch from Microsoft is required.

If no one is able to provide a answer, please consider this message as a bug report.

I have been running using for many years and used to love it. Somehow, my Sent message folder got corrupted and now I'm having unbearable problems with Thunderbird. TBird now regularly stops working for 5 to 15 minutes and my computer is unusable during this time. It creates multiple Sent folders (Sent-1, Sent-2, Sent-3, etc.) each 15 GB in size, so if I don't regularly delete them, my hard drive fills up. I've posted before about this and got some help, but the problem isn't resolved.

Is there someone/some organization that offers personalized support, someone who I could talk to by voice and/or Zoom, for support? I'm willing to pay, if needed.

I was under the impression that emails in Thunderbird would also be reflected in the email that TB is linked to. Not necessarily in the same format. But my TB is linked to a Gmail account.

Although most TB emails are shown in the Gmail account, there are a few emails that only show in TB and not in Gmail.

Does anyone else experience a similar email display? Does anyone have a reason(s) for this strange email treatment?

After an update to Thunderbird I can't seem to log into my Cox email account from Thunderbird. I have no problem logging onto the account when I am connected to Cox through my browser. The POP and SMTP settings appear to be set correctly in Thunderbird. Any suggestions?

Trying to place my local folders directly in my mac os user directory as a mounted, encrypted drive, with the rest of Thunderbird under the Library subdirectory. Looking in this directory (mounted gocryptfs) shows the expected files.

When I first open Thunderbird, there's nothing in local folders. The account setting for local folders indicates /Users/me/Mail. Nothing showing in Local Folders. I select browse, and again choose /Users/me/Mail directory. Still nothing showing in Local Folders.

I close Thunderbird, then reopen Thunderbird. Local Folders now there and showing all expected files. So there's your work-around, but why isn't Thunderbird just opening Local Folders as expected ? Ownership and permissions on directories seem the same as on all my other accounts.

However, if I select both Inbox and All Mail, then all the mail is displayed, HOWEVER, then I have duplicates of everything in my Unified Inbox.

I'm using Thunderbird 128.3.3esr(g4 bit) on Windows 10. Sometimes (not always) an email arrives and I read it, but when I go back to look for it later, it isn't in the inbox, whether regular view or unified view. It still exists on the server (Gmail) and I can find it in search. This doesn't happen for every email, but it has happened more than once. There are no inbox filters that I know of. I've rebuilt the folder, same result.

I've looked through similar reports online but not found anything that helps. Though I doubt it's relevant, I'll add that initially, unified view was empty, so I renamed the "smart mailboxes" folder as suggested online, and then unified view showed correctly.

Suggestions?
