i cannot get any audio when playing a youtube video; the volume control is "x'd" and won't change.

the youtube volume control works fine in chrome, but not firefox or internet explorer. i tried clearing the cache/cookies but it didn't do anything. i have the latest version of flash and firefox and i'm using windows 7.

nothing on that page helped. everything was fine a couple of days ago, and suddenly....no volume.

Try to clear the Flash local storage and settings for YouTube.

  • Windows Control Panel > Flash Player > Storage: Local Storage Settings
    • Remove a specific domain: Local Storage Settings by site
