Actually, the envelope icon is to send a link to the current page. There isn't a built-in icon to just "go to" email.

How about using a bookmark? If you normally display the Bookmarks Toolbar, that would be the easiest way to go. While viewing your Inbox, drag the padlock from the address bar down to the Bookmarks Toolbar and release there to create the bookmark. You can edit the text by right-clicking it and choosing Properties.

jscher 2000, Please excuse my ignorance, I have my outlook mail program opened, however I do not see a padlock anywhere. My addresss bar still displays my opening page which is overlook.com. Please advise. Thank you, Tom

I may have made a mistaken assumption that you were using Outlook.com (online webmail). If you are using Microsoft Office Outlook, then you actually would need an add-on to put a button for that program on the toolbar. I'm not sure if there is one specific to Outlook, but there is an extension named Custom Buttons that can be tweaked to do a wide range of things.

But... I 'm not sure it's worth the effort because you usually can switch between Firefox and Outlook pretty quickly using the Windows Task Bar or Alt+Tab (keep holding Alt after you release Tab to see all the open windows and then Tab to the one you want).

Jscher2000 Thank you for the quick response. I agree that trying the work around may not be work the effort. I think I will just continue to use the outlook link in my taskbar when in firefox if I desire to check my email. I just thought that it might be nice if we had the option to just click and be able to go to our email from within firefox. I thank you for you assistance in this matter.
