If you go to "view", "toolbars", "customize toolbox", you'll see a box titled "search". Problem is, it's worthless. It used to be, you could either search in there using your pre-selected search engine or click on one of the others that are displayed and search using that one. Now, it just sits there taking space. What is the purpose of this? Another thread here titled, "[[Pressing Enter in empty search bar doesn't work anymore|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1452133?page=2#answer-1669039]]", discusses how the search page no longer works either. If using just the search bar is "a power that be's" version of efficiency, it's not.
