The buttons on Firefox startpage will not respond when I click on them.
I have Firefox 17. Although I've used Firefox for years, I've never bothered with the startpage. I thought I'd try it out. But the buttons at the bottom of the page will not respond. How to fix?

Hello Ladyjay12, start firefox in Safe Mode and check it again, in Safe Mode window select "Start in Safe Mode" and see if this happen again, if not see: Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
thank you

Thank you, ideato, for your suggestions. I did a restart in Safe Mode, and I still had the same problem. The troubleshooting guide advised to reset Firefox. I'm reluctant to do that because I fear I may lose all my settings, bookmarks, etc. like I did when I switched from Win XP to Win 7 a month ago. (I'm not a whiz at these things) Thanks again for your quick response.
Bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, cookies and web form auto-fill information SAVED when you reset firefox. Extensions and themes, open tabs and some other things not saved see fore more info : Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems
if you try the reset options see also : Copying files between profile folders, you need it if you try to restore some of the information not saved by copying files to the new profile that was created(the reset firefox create a new profile, in general)
thanks again
Which start page are you using where the buttons aren't working?
