After having hit the HD button on Netflix, any time I use the player controls Firefox displays a black screen. IE doesn't.

Firefox played Netflix fine, 'til I hit the HD button. After-which whenever I try and use any of the player controls or the full screen button Firefox displays a windowed black screen. I've been through NEtflix' help desk who sent me to Microsoft for Silverlight support, which I also went through, and Netflix works as intended in IE, but still doesn't in Firefox. I have also gone through the 7 Troubleshooting steps for Firefox that I found on the site. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi!

Remove your old firefox profile and create a new profile.

That didn't work. Thankfully I backed up my profile first. Any other thoughts?

Netflix use Silverlight, so changing settings in Flash won't help.

Does Silverlight have a options or settings window that you can access via the right-click context menu or the Windows Control Panel?

In that case you can try to clear the SL cache or reset/remove any locally stored data from websites.

I'm on Linux, so can't check this.

I've been through the support desk for Silverlight via Microsoft, in essence, re-install. Done multiple times to no avail. As for some context menu, I haven't been able to find one.
