Why does it group certain emails together rather than show them separately ?

Why does it group certain emails together rather than show them separately ?

Chosen solution

Sounds like you are talking about a threaded view. This groups together all emails that are a reply to the original emails. So it is showing them as an ongoing conversation group of emails. It means you have the 'Threaded' option selected.

Select the folder name. 'Menu icon' > 'View' > 'Sort by' select 'Date' Select 'Descending' Select 'Unthreaded'

This will remove the 'threaded' option from that folder and show each email independently based on 'Date' with newest at the top.
