To maximize internet performance, I need to set the number of simultaneous HTTP 1.0 connections to 8 and the number of simultaneous HTTP 1.1 connections to 4. Please advise how I may make the changes. Thank you and Happy New Year.

Please update to the current Firefox 26 release.

  • Help > About Firefox

The Firefox 14 version that you currently run is no longer supported with security updates.

  • It is important to update Firefox and add-ons to the latest version to get all security fixes.

That is not possible.

Why do you need such specific network settings?

You can only set a specific HTTP version via the network.http.version pref and the connection per server via the network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server pref in a specific Firefox profile.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar.
You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
