Chosen solution

Is this the plus to zoom the page or the plus on the Tab bar to open a new Tab?

Open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

  • "3-bar" menu button > Customize
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button to restore the default toolbar setup

Did you try to restart Firefox or reboot the computer?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Did you reset/refresh Firefox and have created a new profile?

When you reset/refresh Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported. The current profile folder will be moved to an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop. Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.

It is possible to recover data from the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer. So far I have followed your first suggestion and changed to the default theme. That did not solved the problem, but when I reactivated the theme I use it does no longer show up. What can I do to solve that problem.

The theme is called Green Awakening.

Can you elaborate what you mean with: it does no longer show up."?

Is that theme a lightweight theme (Persona) that styles the user interface area with a background image?

Can you possibly attach a screenshot?

  • Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
  • Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

Thank you for the answer. But I already solved the problem by my self, I found the theme in the theme list.

But I have one more question: I can no longer find the + - symbol , that I use to have in the upper part of the browser. I often have to enlarge texts so it was very convenient to have the + and - available in the browser. It used to be in the menu and you could just drag it to and place it close to the address field. Does this option no longer exist? R

Hi again,

I discovered that the + and - are placed in the menu field. I use not to have the menu field visible, and would prefer to have the + - symbol beside the address. field. Like it was before. Would that be possible? R

I mean the plus to Zoom the page.

I can not find it in the menu.

In earlier versions of FF it was possible to drag the zoom button from there to where you wanted it.

Thanks both of you for the answer. Suddenly the Zoom function appeared in the menu, (!!! where had it been?) and I have drag it to where I want it ;)
