HP Pavilion , AMD Athlon X2 Dual, Core processor 3800+. 2Ghz, 1MB Ram, Windows XP Media edition 2002, Service Pack 3. Firefox Version 3.6.8 When starting Firefox, it always says "Unable to Connect". IE8 works fine.

This is normally caused by a firewall blocking Firefox, for more details see Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can.
