I have "successfully" updated to the latest version of Firefox (5.01). When I log in, the window says I have not updated to the latest version. When I go to "help about Firefox) it says the version is 5.01. What's up?

Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed. It shows that you are using Firefox 3.5.7 to the websites that you visit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Agent

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = general.useragent.extra.firefox
Right-click that preference and select Reset
Then restart Firefox

I'm getting the same problem with 6.0.2...

in about:config

filter general.useragent

shows only general.useragent.compatMode.firefox;false general.useragent.locale;en-US

No extra.

what now?
