So for Facebook, I switch to the desktop site via the triple dot menu and it changes to the desktop site. But at one point, something does acrefresh of the page - I didn't select. It reverts to the mobile page. But when I click on the triple dot menu, it says I am using the desktop site. However, the page still is on the mobile site. If I go back it is still showing the desktop site. I turn it off but it slides back to the desktop menu.

I saved an iCalendar file from my Outlook calendar, I went to tools/import in Thunderbird. I am at step 3 which says, "Select the ICalendar (.ics) file yu would like to import." Te first time I did this step, I selected the file and almost immediately I saw the results. But, then I thought maybe I wanted to increase the date range of my Outlook calendar. After doing so, I went back to tools/import in Thunderbird to import that file. Now, when I do that at step 3, Thunderbird seems to "freeze." I see no results for the iCalendar having been imported. If I wait several minutes, Thunderbird now allows me to go to my mail tab, but I still no import of my Outlook calendar. What did I do wrong?

I have read a number of reports of tab crashing, which I have continually. Running 133.0.3 (64-bit) on Win 11 Home 23H2. Very inconsistent crashes, sometime will open new tabs other times it will crash. I have reinstalled no change. I ran refresh, no change and now when I open Firefox I get a message to restore windows. I can't seem to get that message to go away. Any suggestions, especially about the opening message? I have used FF for years and am almost at the point of switching to Chrome. As an aside, also have problems on some websites processing information/orders when using Firefox. No problem when I switch to Chrome. Thanks in advance......

I keep getting this code for many website links I click on after a search. The most recent was for www.focuspress.org, a website I trust. Almost all of the websites I get this error code for are ones that are well known, trusted, visited before. Even if I type in the website address instead of use a link, I still get this error code with no way to bypass and connect at my own risk. Is there a setting I need to change or review? Pam Walker

I am trying to troubleshoot a problem with high CPU usage by Firefox when using Mozilla VPN - VPN ON.. Problem occurs when starting in Safe Mode, and still occurs after performing Refresh. Problem can also occur just by changing to a new tab. Problem does not occur if Mozilla VPN is turned OFF. Problem does not occur with Microsoft Edge. Mozilla VPN Support said it is a Firefox issue, and recommended contacting Firefox if safe start or refresh did not help.

Is there someway to synch iPhone Reminders with Thunderbird Tasks? I was able to synch email accounts and calendars easily. Reminders initially were presented as Calendars but to not display any content (even in Calendars). Ideally, I'd like to have Reminders on my Apple mobile devices synch with Thunderbird on my Windows desktop.

For almost a year now I've been experiencing constant locking up of certain functions on Firefox for Android at the start of a browsing session. Sometimes this also happens mid-session with certain websites (mostly noticed with 9gag and Reddit).

The failure takes the following form:

  • The current page usually fails to load. Or, it appears to load but is not scrollable. Simple pages may be fully scrollable but links or buttons will not work.
  • Tab cannot be changed either through the swipe gesture or the selection menu.
  • Settings menu can be opened and settings can be changed - this includes extensions management as well.
  • If the current tab is closed in the tab selection menu the purple selection box will disappear along with the tab and no new tab can be selected.
  • After 2-3 minutes all of the tab-related actions will suddenly update at once.

Over the past few months I have discovered two ways to work around this incredibly frustrating persistent issue.

  • Open Extensions, disable or enable an extension, then exit the extension management
  • Open About:Memory and trigger a GC cleanup
  • Minimizing and reopening the app has no effect
  • Shutting down and launching the app has no effect
  • Restarting the device and launching the app has no effect
  • Performing a memory cleanup in Android settings has no effect.

Leaving the device alone for 15-30 minutes seems to make it eligible to re-trigger. This problem is intermittent (not occurring every time) but consistent in its symptoms.

I experience this issue at least once a day on two devices, but much more commonly on my Samsung A9 tablet with 8GB of memory compared to an Android smartphone with 4GB of memory. I suspect this may have something to do with site memory being held onto or being kept active which is blocking navigation until it gets cleaned up or is refreshed, but I have no idea.

Recently I sent several emails to others who have gmail accounts. I discovered that they did not receive them when I checked with them by phone. This happened on Dec. 26th. Also, in my address book view, all my sub-address books disappeared. I can still access the groups when I identify them in the address line, but I can no longer see them in the address box.

I have a new dell computer with windows 11. My other computers with windows 10/11 work fine with FireFox but this machine will not load my email website. It must be a setting on this machine.

try loading webmail.shaw.ca use the account bubbleman@shaw.ca password FireFox.

(it is a dummy account for problem solving)  When you click sign-in, the button turns grey for about 5 seconds, then turns blue again.

inspect(q) shows the following error message

Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://siteintercept.qualtrics.com/dxjsmodule/8.372e3f9662e7442947d8.chunk.js?Q_CLIENTVERSION=2.22.0&Q_CLIENTTYPE=web&Q_BRANDID=webmail.shaw.ca”.

I tried following the Configuring Windows 10 Firewall and deleted firefox, then put it back.. My ISP (Rogers.ca)says use a different browser. I have been a confirmed user since Netscape days! I am not very knowledgeable with Windows so any help that you may give me would be appreciated

I’m having trouble adding pages to bookmarks using Firefox IOS on an iPad. In short, I’m supposed to open the menu bar top right and tap ‘add’ next to bookmarks. Simple. But almost (but not quite every) time I try, there’s no ‘add’, only the bookmark star, which brings up previous bookmarks but doesn't have any way of adding a new bookmark. When I tap ‘done’ the bookmark list closes, but nothing has been added. This is becoming so annoying I’m about to give up on Firefox entirely.

I updated to 133.0.3 just now and Firefox will not load any pages in new tabs. The only tabs I have open are the ones that were open when the application restarted with the update. For example, I could not open https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/133.0.3/WINNT/en-US/firefox-help to report this bug because it was not already open (I am reporting to you using Brave). This is happening in both new tabs and new windows.

I've been using FireFox to login to nytimes.com for many years. Recently, the nytimes.com website hasn't been working properly. It works fine using Edge.

Symptoms are: (1) The zoom level at login and the zoom on going from page to page is very inconsistent. (2) Clicking the Account button does not open the account settings page. Instead it causes the screen background to become grey.

I restarted FireFox in troubleshooting mode, but this did not improve the behavior. I have a single extension (Adblock). Disabling Adblock on nytimes.com also did not improve things.

Recently purchased M4 Mac Mini and experiencing problems with using firefox web browser to watch movies on Netflix and Youtube; movies get glitchy and choppy from the moment streaming starts. However, audio is fine playing in the background. This problem only occurs while watching movies, no problems with other video contents such as youtube shorts. I have reinstalled Firefox browser a few times to no avail. I have also tried other things such as turning off VPN, removed cookies and review other settings as well as switching between wifi and Cat5 none of which seem to fix the issue.
