having to reinstall thunderbird on a new computer, as i have done before, i copied the thunderbird folder from the path C: \ Users \ cgman \ AppData \ Roaming \ Thunderbird and copied to the same path on the new computer .... it doesn't work. I tried to bring back only the contents of the profile to the new computer .... it doesn't work. I tried replacing the profiles.ini file too .... it doesn't work. Can someone help me ? Thanks for the reply - marco

Did you install the same version of Thunderbird on new computer as you used on old computer ? What OS is used on old and on new computers? What version of Thunderbird is used on old computer and what is used on new computer?

Did you install Thunderbird and run it once on new computer before copy pasting the 'Thunderbird' folder? If yes: Did you deleted the default created 'Thunderbird folder on new computer first and then paste in the copied 'Thunderbird' folder?

Did you ensure Thunderbird was not running on either computer when you performed the copy pasting?
