Every time I try to log on to my banking or favorite website I keep getting a Firefox "popup" that prevents the page from loading.

This problem may have happened with the last update but I am not 100% sure.

It has become a huge nuisance and no matter how many items I allow, approve, and/or ignore under "Options" Firefox continues to block sites such as Wachovia and First Federal Banks, Carvin guitars, and most of my sites.

What can I do?

See:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
