The context menu is grayed out on my Bookmarks

For the last day or so, I've been unable to open a bookmark in a new tab by right-clicking and selecting Open in a New Tab. All of the proper options show up on the menu, but the entire menu is grayed out and unavailable. This is only true for my bookmarks. If I right-click on a link, the context menu shows up properly and works correctly.

Restarting (not in Safe Mode or anything) cleared it up. How nice.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Not only do I use the Default Theme, it's the only one installed and AFAICT none of my Add-ons are causing this. I do use Tab Mix Plus, but there doesn't seem to be anything in its settings that could cause this. My computer normally runs 24/7, sometimes for weeks at a time (I only reboot for kernel updates, or similar issues.) and it's probably been almost a week since I re-started Firefox. From what I can tell, this just started happening, even though there wasn't anything updated that might affect this. After all, under Linux, updates only take effect when you re-start the program. However, I see by checking that Firefox does need to be restarted because of updates, so I'll do that and see what happens.
