Why do I have to download the upgrade 2.0 and beta each and every time I start my pc? I HAVE already upgraded my pc!
Each and every time I start my pc-desktop I receive a message saying I have to upgrate Firefox which I did already 2-3 weeks ago. I still get the message saying that my pc is in danger.

Your User Agent string shows that you are using Firefox 3.6.28.
Earlier Firefox versions 3.x, 4.0.x, etc. are no longer maintained with Security and Stability updates and therefore contain Security Vulnerabilities that are known and could be exploited by some websites to gain unauthorized access to information or to disrupt critical processing. Only the Latest version Firefox 12.0 is secure against these known vulnerabilities. See these articles for some guidance:
- http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html#firefox12
-> Uninstall your current Firefox as described in this article -> Uninstall Firefox from your computer
- DO NOT SELECT TO REMOVE USER DATA AND SETTINGS
- Restart your system
-> Download latest Firefox version from the following link using some other Web Browser:
-> Install Firefox 12 as described in this article -> How to install Firefox on Windows
Check and tell if its working.
After Updating your Firefox to version 12, Update All your Firefox Plugins too by visiting the following link:
- When Downloading Plugins setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, etc.)
It is incorrect to say that 12.0 is the only supported version. The 10.0 ESR channel currently at 10.0.4 is supported however it is more meant for Enterprise users in mind. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all.html
maricoss, when you say Beta are you referring to the 13.0 Beta test builds? which is currently at 13.0b3.
