Hello,

I am using the last version (50.0.1) of Firefox and Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 (KIS 2017) on my computer.

Kaspersky site shows KIS 2017 does not support this last version of Firefox but older versions (43.x - 47.x) ( https://support.kaspersky.com/12743 ).

I do not understand why Kaspersky released a KIS 2017 that is not working with the last version of Firefox.

Please, does it mean my computer is vulnerable to viruses, malwares, etc. when I am using the last version of Firefox, even with KIS 2017 installed on it ?

If yes, does it exist a way to fix this problem (Firefox add on, KIS 2017 settings, etc.)?

Regards,

Peter

Hi

Thank you for your question.

I thick that your questions would be better answered by Kaspersky, however it may be the case that Kaspersky does support later versions of Firefox once the original package has been updated.

It may also be the case that the functionality that is Firefox version dependant is not the core anti-malware that takes care of your PC, but is some additional software that you may not actually need that adds (for example) a toolbar into Firefox.

I recommend that you contact Kaspersky to get more detailed information on this issue.
