How do I install version 37 from the index?
I am using v.36.0.4. I want to update to the latest version of 37. It looks like 37.0.2 is the latest. So I clicked on that, but I have no clue how do download it.
I'm a novice mac user so I don't know what I'm looking for. :-) I would appreciate any (simple) instructions as to how to download v. 37.0.2.
Thank you!

Firefox 38.0.1 is actually the latest. And to update, it's simple. Follow the directions at Update Firefox to the latest release :)
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
- Firefox 38.0: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
- Trash the current Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re)install
- Install the new version that you have downloaded
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Installing+Firefox+on+Mac
Your personal data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data when you uninstall and (re)install or update Firefox.
Thank you for your responses. It has been my experience that the newest version can be buggy and it can take several weeks for all that to be worked out. Since I'm not all that techie, I am not good w/making whatever suggested adjustments I've seen here in the forums. I've already seen threads about v. 38 issues. So, I prefer to wait a little bit to update to the latest. I just got a little behind this time.
I know the risks involved. But, I would still like to know how to go about downloading a previous version.
Thanks!
PS, I did find an article that talks about downloading a previous version, but it doesn't say how. It just gives the link to older versions.

Firefox 38.0.1 was released to fix a problem crasher some users had with 38.0
As for waiting several weeks well then you could be even more behind as Firefox 39.0 may be out by then.
Thank you. But that still doesn't answer my question. :-)
I would strongly recommend using a newer version, but Firefox 37.0.2 for Mac can be downloaded from here: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-37.0.2-SSL&os=osx&lang=en-US
I have just been reading that mozilla has put out two versions of FF 38. One is w/DRM and one is w/o. Yet no one says where to get the one w/o. Every link they offer takes me back to guess where?
The same list that is just a bunch of folders and NO DIRECTIONS as to how to download. http://download.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/38.0/win32-EME-free/
Nothing shows up when I search the forums for "firefox 38 without DRM.
I would really appreciate it if someone would PLEASE (PRETTY PLEASE) tell me how to download & install from the index link above. (Yep, its v. 38 but I don't want DRM)
Thanks!
The new DRM feature in Firefox only works on Windows Vista and higher versions of Windows, not on Mac or Linux. So if you're looking to download Firefox 38 for your Mac, you don't need to be concerned about whether it includes DRM or not. The reason why no separate builds are available for OSes other than Windows is that they're not necessary.
Also, please note that once DRM becomes available on Mac, if you use services such as netflix it will be necessary to keep it, removing it will make those services stop working.
Thank you Tjohnson & Tyler for the info. I really appreciate it.

The folders are abbreviations of each locale that Firefox is available in like at mozilla.org/firefox/all so for example English US it is en-US folder then download the .exe.
You actually want 38.0.1 and not 38.0 http://download-origin.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/38.0.1/win32-EME-free/
Thank you James!
