The previous Firefox browser had the following, which I truly miss in this newer version that I have just downloaded: 1. No "STOP" button to discontinue downloading a website. The previous version had such a button that looked like and "X". 2. No drop down button showing previous web pages to search quickly backward or forward. This is a BIG boo-boo with this newer version. I do like this newer version, but really miss the previous version that had the options listed above.

Hi,

There have been some changes to the UI recently. Everything is still there, just in a slightly different location. Do you have the Firefox menu in the upper left hand corner? If you do, go to Firefox > Options > Menu Bar. That should give you a more familiar experience

Hopefully this helps!

Firefox 4 and later use a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.
Middle-click the Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.
