I just got a new Android phone and downloaded Firefox to it. I set up a sync account on my laptop and so I could sync my tabs and stuff to my Android phone. It worked at first and I could find my tabs and history and stuff. Now when I try to re-sync my Android and Laptop, so I can see the new Tabs I have opened up, it wont sync, and still shows the old tabs from one of the first times I sync'ed my phone. It just will not re-sync and show the tabs that I have currently open in my Firefox browser on my Laptop. Any help or answers would be great.

HI bigrig56, What version of Firefox is your laptop running? Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more

I have version 29.0.1 and the version on my phone is also, 29.0.1. So that is not the problem.

Hi bigrig56, Ok, more questions for you: -On your mobile, if you open up the Firefox sync account and tap on sync now, or is the last sync time fairly recent? I do know you can set all syncing of accounts over wifi only and a few other options. -If you remove the device and readd, does the syncing take place? -Can you do this then run a test by adding a new bookmark and looking to see if it appears at the next sync?

Looking forward to your reply! Thank you.

Ok I tried adding a new bookmark and resyncing the devices and that did not help. I even tried removing Firefox from my phone completely and then redownloading the app and that did not help either.

I cannot sync...it says sync enabled on droid. I have spent days trying to restore my droid and laptop sync...followed all the instructions, uninstalled, reinstalled, changed passwords and email addresses....hate to uninstall from both units...don't know what else to do.

I uninstalled Firefox off of my phone and then reinstalled it on it. While I was doing that, I logged off of sync on my laptop and then reinstalled Firefox onto my android. I logged in on both my laptop and phone into my sync account and made sure that was all set. Now whenever I want to sync my tabs on my laptop, I click the 3 horizontal bars in the top right corner, and go down and click Sync. Then on my phone, I open the Firefox app and click the little square where i can cycle between tabs and I click on the circular arrows. If you swipe your finger down it should start the circualr arrows spinning causing it to load and refresh. If that doesnt work, then try this: click the home button go to settings go to accounts (under the user and backup tab in my Galaxy S5) go to Firefox click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner and press sync all or, press on where it has your email, which should also be your sync account name click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner and press sync now then you should be able to go into Firefox and click onto where you would cycle between tabs and press onto the circular arrows and see if anything has changed. Hopefully this works for you.

Thanks for the assistance. Just got around to doing it. I was going nuts, trying to sync. I liked Mozilla, have had it on my laptop for a few years. Decided to download it to my LG Optimus last year, not sure why I didn't do it with my Motorola. It was great having my favorites at the ready. Then I realized the browser symbol was gone. That is when It began...lol thanks again. Have a good day..
