Does anyone know what prevents access to this website when using Firefox? Thanks.

I tried posting this before but didn't receive a response. How do stop: https://masbay.z10.web.core.windows.net/werrx01USAHTML/?bcda=1-808-232-xxxx# from popping up on screen? I've tried every program I could think of ... malwarebytes, antivirus programs, rootkit removal programs, quick scanners, etc. I uninstalled FireFox and reinstalled it. Every time I think it's resolved, it comes back. And I notice it's always popping up in FireFox. Any suggestions? Thanks. Dave

I was very excited to see in the 131.0.3 release notes that it fixed a problem with bill pay. I've been unable to use bill pay at my small local bank since v131. My bank was unable to help me and I couldn't get bill pay to work with v131 even after opening everything up as much as I knew how (cookies, trackers, etc.).

Sadly, v 131.0.3 still has the same behavior of blocking bill pay with a very similar message to the BOA message posted earlier.

My local bank uses a site named: web13.secureinternetbanking.com and in the past, I also needed to exempt cookies from sites named: cwsb40.checkfreeweb.com and cw411.checkfreeweb.com. I've also added these sites to the exceptions list for enhanced tracking without effect.

I found a thread on Mozilla Connect from ipv6_fan that seemed to indicate a solution.

Based on that thread, I checked the following parameters:

The value of network.cookie.cookieBehavior.optInPartitioning is false.

The value of network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled is true.

When I set network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled to false, my billpay popped up as usual.

This seems to indicate (to a novice like me) that there are still issues in 131.0.3 with partitioned cookies.

To make this point, yesterday I spent probably an hour and a 1/2 trying to get to another bank account on Barclays working again because they just "upgraded their web experience". I think I was able to get all the new URLs identified for my exception list for cookies, but blocking cross tracking also creates havoc and I had to turn it off to get the bank site to work. I tried to add sites to the exception list for cross tracking, but firefox still showed it was blocking trackers even though I had added it to the exception list - so I gave up after all that time.

I appreciate the additional security being built into Firefox, but it seems to not play well with banks who seem to be on their own path for increasing security. These two paths don't seem to be converging.

I hope this doesn't sound ungrateful. Thanks for working on this.

Firefox v131.0.3 on Linux Mint 21.3 boots with only blue lines of text and does not boot graphically anymore

I have been using Linux Mint 21+ since May of 2023. At that time I set all the Firefox preferences settings to what I've always set them to in the past, and have run Firefox with them ever since then. Now, about 3-4 weeks ago, I started Firefox and it came up with ONLY blue lines of text (not graphically). My Firefox homepage is "isp.netscape.com". I've waited until now to report the problem, since I was hoping that later Firefox updates would fix itself, but this did not occur with the 3-5 Firefox recent updates.

Originally, I posted the problem to the Linux Mint forums with the following title under SOFTWARE & APPLICATIONS: Firefox browser no longer graphical but only lines of blue text

Somebody there advised me to start Firefox in safe mode, which I did with this command in the terminal: firefox -safe-mode

and to my surprise, Firefox then came up graphically once again. However, going through the Firefox preferences and setting them one at a time, I came to what is causing the problem. Setting PRIVACY & SECURITY -> BROWSER PRIVACY -> HISTORY: "Remember History" to "Never Remember History" forces Firefox to reboot and when it comes up it came up with only blue lines of text, and not graphically.

One responder to my post on Linux Mint forums stated that it was also a problem with her on Windows 11. So, this is not a Linux Mint, or Windows 11 issue, but a Firefox issue. Mozilla made some change to Firefox back 4-5 weeks now that all of a sudden made Firefox come up in blue lines of text, and I changed nothing with Firefox since started with Linux Mint 21.3 1.5 years ago. I will add though, that ONLY my Firefox homepage (listed above) is the only page that is affected by this, every other website I visit comes up graphically.

What's UP?

Ron

Does anyone know how to fix this pop up? I'm trying to help a friend and I ran multiple programs on her computer to see if I could stop this pop up from coming up. It's one of those "your system is compromised, call an 800 number, etc.' pop ups.

I ran 3 different programs that are supposed to catch stuff like this. I ran a full system virus scan, I uninstalled FireFox and reinstalled it (thinking maybe one of the FireFox system files was corrupted). Nothing works.

I left her place about 5 hours ago and didn't hear anything. She just texted me and said it came back.  :-(

The only constant is that it ONLY occurs when she's using FireFox.

Thanks.

Dave

I can no longer log in to Facebook without this type of message popping up: "Your request could not be processed." These messages do not look like they come from Facebook. When I "X" out of the messages, the page looks fine, but I'm not taking chances to log in with this sketchy situation. I have deleted cookies, etc. multiple times, even though I have Firefox set to delete cookies upon closing.

No problems on my other browser...except that I don't want to use that browser. I want to use Firefox with Facebook like I have for almost a decade.

I launched a financial website from laptop #1 using Firefox to model some ideas in their calculators. 24 hrs later, I launched the same site from laptop #2 using Firefox as well, and was perplexed as to why the website had all the same information I had input the day before already populating the fields accessed 24 hrs prior. Are my settings out of spec to expect all info be blocked?

Hi all. So I recall maybe a year or 2 or even 3 ago, i read an update that said Firefox browser supposedly now had option to delete browsing/form etc data with options like "delete data from 15 min ago, 1hr, 2 days, last 7 days," like Chrome has. I was excited about that, so that i didn't have to keep clearing all the data and places i was signed into after typing in personal info on a site. BUT to this day,I've still not seen that option. Did Firefox never actually come out with those options or?? What is the deal? I am on a pc. but i have it on my android phone as well, and don't see those options there either. What's the deal? Can someone offer some insight on this? Been using firefox for many years. thanks in advance.
