Firefox does not ask to save passwords. I do not see the password key anymore even on sites I have saves passwords on.

I cannot seem to be able to update or save passwords (after deletion) on sites I have visited before. I do not see the password key as shown in http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-remember-usernames-and-passwords

This did not happen on the support.mozilla.org site, where I just created a new account. I was prompted on whether I'd like to save my password and then the key disappeared after I had saved.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Did not see any change with Safe-mode. Same behavior. However the link to Saved Password Editor: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/saved-password-editor/ is a workaround, though not as efficient as having it integrated.

Thanks.
