Thunderbird 38.3 does not recognize my account on my companies' exchange mail server. Or, according to our IT guy, MS Exchange Mail Server no longer allows Mozilla access. Either way, I can't get my work email on on my home computer using Thunderbird. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Perhaps your employer needs to employ an It guy that knows at least something about IT.

1. Ms Exchange has always shipped with IMAP and POP support turned off. It is but a minor setting to flick it on for the server admin. So there we have the first bit of misinformation. 2. Ms Exchange has not withdrawn support for IMAP and POP. Second bit of misinformation.

Should your IT folk continue to be recalcitrant and unhelpful.

3. The exquilla add-on provides access to exchange server accounts as long as you have access to EWS. It is not free, but it is well supported. 4. DavMail can be run on your local computer to gain access to EWS in much the same way as exquilla, it is free, but not as simple.
