I keep getting this message when I try and perform a certain task. When right click on a folder or file from an attachment I get in a email, and then I click on the option available, send to a email address, I keep this same message or the email box, that says "There is no email program associated to perform to perform the requested action. Please install a email program or, if one is already installed, create an associated in the Default Programs control panel". It seems no mater how I try I just can't create an associated email in the control panel. Yes. this may be a Windows issue, but I was hoping Firefox would help instead, or at least have a suggestion. Firefox responds so much quicker.

Hi sciencemagic, This article should help: Change the program used to open email links

My_Cheese_Is_Slippen, thank you for your reply. Frankly, when I access that page, it seems everything is OK with my email functions. I use Yahoo and it states Yahoo is my assigned default email client. So, just can't figure out why I keep getting a message asking to assign a email address to this program, when I try and send a attachment folder/file when I already have one?

Try Clearing Cookies and Site Data only for that site. Go to the site. Click on the left end of the address bar. At the bottom of the information drop-down which opens, click on Clear Cookies & Site Data A window will open listing the relevant site(s) Click Remove. Refresh the page and see if it works.

I'm pretty sure my issue is not a site issue. Again, probably a Windows problem. Just thought Firefox might know a fix. Thank you My_Cheese_Is_Slippin.

Hi sciencemagic, If you think that it's a Windows 7 issue, here are a few sites where you might find a solution: windowsForum TheWindowsClub The Windows Club Forum

I hope they can help.

Hi sciencemagic, Guess what! I have a similar issue with Win 10! When I right click on an image and select Send To -> Mail Recipient I get a window where I can select a size and then Attach. After I select Attach, I get the same error message. All of the 'solutions' are to delete Microsoft Outlook from a Registry entry and select a new default mail app. I, however, don't have an Outlook entry to delete. What I need to do in Win 10 is to right click on the image file and select Share. Then I can select a contact or an app to share the file. I don't remember if the Share option is in the Win 7 context menu but, it might be worth looking into.

I don't recall seeing that option in Win 7. I guess I will have to ask for Win 7 help to resolve the problem. Strange, but I thought I did something like that earlier to try and resolve the same problem?
