When I select text on a webpage, using Firefox on Android, the context menu appears. I click the 3-dots to popup the extension menu. My default search engine, startpage.com, appears there. I select that item to invoke the search engine with the text that is selected on the webpage. The search engine page appears, but the selected text is not passed to the webpage.

When Google is the default search engine, the selected text is automatically searched for, as expected.

By default, Startpage uses POST method, so you can't pass search query into URL.

You can change Startpage to use GET method from Settings page.

Thx @TyDraniu, but this did not work. I tried a search, it went to startpage.com and did not pass in the query terms. I immediately checked that GET was set in the settings. (The switch is toggled to the left).
