Is it possible to find a way to make Mailing Lists sit at the top of their Address Book by default?

I have looked for an answer but can't seem to find anyone asking this question. I am sure that previous versions (to 102/115) did this naturally but the new versions are different.

For example, in one Address Book I have created a mailing list called Regulars. Previously, all mailing lists show at the top whenever viewing the Address Book, so Regulars would be at the top followed by the first "A" email address. Now, the mailing lists are integrated alphabetically, so that Regulars appears down the list, amongst the "R" emails.

With the contact list now so excessively spread out (yes, I have tried and failed at that unfixable problem), it requires lots of scrolling and searching to find mailing lists. This is illogical, considering the purpose of mailing lists is to make it easy to select a whole group of addresses quickly.

At the moment, I have found a workaround by numbering the list (eg 1. Regulars) but I would prefer to find a way to make the lists behave as they used to. Is that possible?

(I am familiar with userchrome, at a basic level, so I would be able to insert code if necessary).

I agree with Matt. But regardless of whether the capability existed pre-v90, I don't foresee implementing such a capability with so many other higher impact issues in the queue.

I do not recall a time when address books placed mailing lists anywhere but alphabetically. Are you sure you did not use an addon for that functionality?

Thanks for your reply. I am certain I didn't use an addon, as it wouldn't have occurred to even look for one when that was simply the way it worked. Unless it came "packaged" with some other addon, but I don't use many for TB so I doubt it.

Maybe someone with an older version ie pre-v90s, could confirm if I am losing my marbles or not?

Fair enough. I will let it rest there and just keep using my workaround, and maybe there will be other people who might be helped by this question.

With reference to your comment that there are higher priorities, I wanted to comment that apart from all the tweaking required to make the interface usable (mainly solved by removing card view), the biggest problems I have had have been in the writing/composition/address book area. I have spent more fruitless time with that than the main windows.

Thanks for your help, and I will mark this solved, even though it is really just acknowledging that a workaround is needed.
