Importing bookmarks and other data from SeaMonkey

Firefox lets you import settings and data from SeaMonkey. This can be handy when you start using Firefox because it saves you from having to configure many things yourself. When you run Firefox for the first time, the Import Wizard will ask if you want to import settings and data from other installed browsers.

If you have already passed this step, you can still import your settings and data from your SeaMonkey profile.

Importing bookmarks from an HTML file

If SeaMonkey is not installed, the Import Wizard will not list Netscape 6, 7 or Mozilla 1.x. Your SeaMonkey bookmarks are stored in the file bookmarks.html located in the SeaMonkey profile folder.

If you still have access to your SeaMonkey profile folder, you can import that file into Firefox using the Import feature of the Firefox Library window. See Importing bookmarks from an HTML file.
