After updating to v132 I have noticed a significant increase in the load times for some websites that our users connect to. Using v131.0.3 I usually see < 1 second load times for the two websites I am monitoring but after upgrading to v132 it is consistently taking 18-19 seconds for the same page. I have tried uninstalling v132 and reverting to v131 and it immediately goes back to the much faster load times. I have also tried installing various v133 releases and I see the same performance issue as for v132.

The environment I am working in is behind a network firewall with relatively restrictive internet access and I am wondering whether there are sites that Firefox is trying to connect to for the new anti-tracking or suspicious activity features (or anything else) that are being blocked and are therefore causing timeouts and retries that are bumping the total load time up.

Can anyone think of anything else I could check or change?

Hello,

I recently closed a Gmail account and removed it from Thunderbird however it continues to periodically attempt to connect to Google with the deleted account's identity.

Under Account Settings, the account has been removed and the Outgoing Server entry has been deleted. All Saved Logins for the deleted account have been removed. There are no calendars configured for the removed account. There are no extensions installed other than LookOut 6.3 which does not appear to be account-sensitive.

If it makes a difference, I am experiencing this with Thunderbird 128.5.2esr (64-bit) on Slackware Linux 15.0.

Short of burning the profile and creating a new one, I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers,

-d.

With Firefox's latest update...

1. Javascript no longer works on pages it absolutely must work. The webpage for my security cameras not longer allow me to operate the cameras. When I click pan/tilt/zoom button all I get is a little message that says "Jacascript" at the bottom right corner where there should be a url. I've never actually paid attention on the security cams page but the url is there on other websites. I have to have this functionality. How do I re-enable Javascript for at least this page?

2. Deactivated extensions are not actually deactivated. To trouble shoot the first problem I disabled NoScript and ADblock Plus to see if they were interfering. I closed and reopened Firefox, and even restarted my PC. Firefox shows the extension to be disabled but they are in fact still active and working. Something is extremely broken in Firefox's extension manager. Is there anyway to actually disable these extensions without removing them?

Thanks

Please offer a REAL search engine!!!

Not this garbage paid content at the top of every search: Wokepedia, Snopes, msm fake new, etc.. People are figuring out how this content makes it to the top of EVERY search, and we're not BUYING IT!!! People are leave Google /YourCensored Tube owing to their censorship and pushing billionaire globalist narratives.

Companies like Rumble & X are the future! MAKE an open source, truly privacy minded search engine or PREPARE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS. Because people are asking for it everywhere, notably on X!!!

No more FAKE msm news stories. All the search engines offered on FireFox Suck! DuckDuck GO used to be good, but now it's like all the rest.

Yandex looks to be one of the better options right now, but people are asking Elon Musk to do a real search engine.

For several months I have been getting all these woke "news" popups from Firefox in the bottom right corner of my PC screen. I use firefox as my default browser and don't feel like uninstalling, but soon I will have to because it is so annoying when I am trying to play a game and firefox comes along and tries to brainwash me with its woke agenda. I mean, today it's giving me a popup telling me to go plant-based for a month, WHEN IT'S LITERALLY CARNIVORE MONTH. HOW DO I REMOVE THIS BULL****!?!?!?

It might be a very strange question/request, but I would be extremely helpful to if someone from Thunderbird team export and send the manifest of the App Integration that Thinderbird is using to be able to allow users to use the IMAP API of Microsoft Exchange. The one that defines some permissions, like Microsoft Graph's `IMAP.AccessAsUser.All`.

I've been struggling to setup a working app registration from our internal integration needs, and IMAP authentication is failing, while Thunderbird Enterprise Apps works great. As I couldn't get adequate support for troubleshooting this by Microsoft, my only hope is to try to compare something that's working with the app registration that's not working and analyze what's different.

So if someone from the dev/devops is willing to share the app registration manifest (of course, with any confidential data stripped off), I would be extremely thankful.

P.S. I think the manifest should be accessible at https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_AAD_RegisteredApps/ApplicationMenuBlade/~/Manifest/appId/9e5f94bc-e8a4-4e73-b8be-63364c29d753/isMSAApp~/false (though I'm not sure that the proper App Registration ID).
