Thunderbird for Android gemenskapsforum

When replying to a message the reply is not attached as a new in a thread. It only show up in Sent folder.This is happening in mobile app despite appropriately working in a desktop version. I don't see any way to change this in folder settings?

Attempts at configuring Outlook account via Thunderbird for Android always result in an "Authentication Error" when setting up the outgoing server.

Using default settings:

Server: smtp.office365.com Security: StartTLS Port: 587 Authentication: OAuth 2.0 Username: xxxx@outlook.com Client Cert: None

Detailed message says authentication unsuccessful, but I don't get any errors when I login for the Incoming/IMAP server connection.

When I download an attachment, my version wants to print it every time. I suspect it's set to default as a hangover from my previous email program. This means if the phone can't find a printer, it won't download, not much use if it's a pdf ticket. How do I change the settings please?

I just installed the Android mobile version of Thunderbird. I was wondering if it supports any form/method of SPAM filtering? If so, how do I access/use it?

When you look at the notification page pull down in android

Expand to see each email Click on one you have the option to delete it This then requests a confirmation

Can this confirmation be disabled?

It looks like the other methods do not require confirmation

Can you create rules or filters in Thunderbird Android to directly delete certain emails such as spam? With a specific email address or move them to a specific folder?

I can't find clear information about syncing my Hotmail email account contacts to my Pixel 7a Android phone using Thunderbird email client for Android.

Is that possible? If not, will it be coming?

Can I build my own version of Thunderbird for Android from the Github source? There is a (ridiculous) shortcoming in Thunderbird and also K-9 that seems trivial to fix. Indeed, K-9 does occasionally fix it, only to remove the fix in subsequent versions.

I have some experience with creating Windows applications from Github code, but have no idea how to build an Android app ...

When I mark messages for deletion or other operations they are highlighted using a shade of gray which is almost indiscernible from the other gray shades used for messages in the message list. How can I change the highlight color? In K-9 it's pink and it stands out clearly.
